Protecting Your Account

McClain Bank Online offers you the convenience to review your account information anywhere you can access the Internet. You may use McClain Bank Online to: view account balances and transaction history; transfer money between accounts; set up an Automatic Transfer to make monthly transfers from one account to another; view copies of cleared checks and past monthly statements. However, protecting your personal account information is our top priority. McClain Bank's Privacy Policy outlines the use, collection and retention of personal customer information, but in order to offer you the safest means to handle your on-line banking, we have identified a number measures which are listed below. Among other things, these measures allow us to properly authenticate your identity when you access McClain Bank Online and safeguard your personal information as it travels through cyber-space. Our online services are routinely audited for compliance and security.
 
The following information can help keep your confidential information safe while using McClain Bank Online. While we maintain a high level of security on our systems we are not responsible for any breach of security that it beyond our control.
 
Safeguard Your Online Personal Identification Number (PIN) - The PIN that is used to gain access to your accounts through McClain Bank Online should be kept confidential. For your protection, we recommend that you change your online PIN regularly. We recommend that you memorize this online PIN and do not write it down. You are responsible for keeping your PIN, account numbers and other account data confidential. If you believe that your online PIN may have been lost or stolen, or that someone has transferred or may transfer money from your account without your permission, notify McClain Bank Customer Service at once at (405) 527-6503.
 
Protecting Personal Information - In addition to protecting your account information, you should take precautions to protect your personal identification information, such as your driver's license, Social Security Number, etc. This information by itself or together with information on your account may allow unauthorized access to your account(s). It is your responsibility to protect personal information with the same level of care that you protect your account information.
 
Preventing Misuse of Your Account - Your role is extremely important in the prevention of any wrongful use of your account. You must promptly examine your statement upon receipt. If you find that your records and ours disagree, you must immediately contact McClain Bank Customer Service at (405) 527-6503.
 
Your Responsibility - Your first use of McClain Bank Online© confirms your agreement to and understanding of the terms and conditions in the Online Banking Agreement, which describes in detail all aspects of using this service. You are responsible for keeping your password, account numbers, personal identification information and other account information confidential.
 
Online Banking works best in the latest version of one of these browsers: Chrome, Firefox, Microsoft Edge, or Safari. Microsoft Internet Explorer versions 10 and older are not supported.
 
Unauthorized Transactions in Your Accounts - Notify us at once if you believe another person has improperly obtained your online Personal Identification Number (PIN). Also notify us if someone has transferred or may transfer money from your Bank deposit account without your permission, or if you suspect any fraudulent activity on your account. Only reveal your account number to a legitimate entity for a purpose you authorize (such as your insurance company for automatic payments). To notify us, contact McClain Bank Customer Service at (405) 527-6503, between the hours of 8:00 AM and 6:00 PM Monday - Friday, 8:00 AM and 12:00 PM on Saturdays, except for banking holidays. "Banking holidays" shall mean all federal banking holidays. Or write to McClain Bank, P.O. Box 351, Purcell, Oklahoma 73080. If your online PIN has been compromised and you notify us within two (2) business days after you learn of the loss or theft, you can lose no more than $50 if someone used your online password without your permission to access a Bank deposit account. If you do NOT notify us within two (2) business days after you learn of the loss or theft, and we could have stopped someone from taking money without your permission had you told us, you could lose as much as $500. Also, if your statement shows withdrawals, transfers or purchases that you did not make or authorize, please notify us at once. If you do not notify us within sixty (60) days after the paper or online statement was sent to you, and we could have stopped someone from taking money if you had told us in time, you may not get back any money lost after the sixty (60) days.
 
McClain Bank is not responsible for customer errors or negligent use of McClain Bank Online© and will not be liable for losses due to: negligent handling or sharing of passwords leading to unauthorized access to accounts; data input errors; leaving your computer unattended during access; not signing off to end session; failure to report known incidents of unauthorized account access within 2 business days.
