With a population of over 5,700, Purcell is steadily growing and attracting new businesses. At the center of the state, it is the county seat for McClain County. Well known for its many horse ranches, Purcell also has several sites listed on the National Historic Register - The Love Hotel (home to Butler's Antiques) and the McClain County Historical Museum. It is also home to great public schools, Amtrak Train Depot, the Purcell Municipal Hospital, beautiful Purcell Lake, and a gorgeous 18-hole golf course. Purcell's picturesque Main Street is filled with many businesses and antique shops that serve as reminders of the community's birth during the Oklahoma Land run in 1889. Our limited service facility in Lexington is open as a convenience to our customers located east of Purcell. Boasting a population of 2,200, Lexington is still considered a small, "bedroom community." But don't let its size fool you. Founded during the land run of 1889, Lexington remembers that event every year with an '89er Day festival that rivals that of much larger cities.
